## AI Recommendation Reasons

Worth considering if you need to read or write CDs and DVDs on a compatible Windows PC or Mac: the ZenDrive supports disc burning and includes USB-A and USB-C cables. The source reports a $37.88 price at Amazon, but the offer's availability is not independently verified.

Best suited for: People with CDs or DVDs to access, or who want to create physical backups using a compatible Windows PC or Mac.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- Supports DVD reading and writing at up to 8x and CD speeds up to 24x, according to the source.
- M-DISC support is described as intended for long-term preservation of files such as photos and documents.
- Included USB-A and USB-C cables can connect to compatible computers without a separate adapter, according to the source.
- The source says it includes Disc Encryption II and Nero BackItUp software.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The source reports a checkout price of $37.88 and a prior listed price of $44.99. Those figures suggest a $7.11 difference, matching the source's stated saving, but the prior price is not proof of a typical selling price. The source also mentions a $30 price in 2021; that single historical reference does not establish a current market trend or lowest price.

### Consider before buying

- The source says the drive does not support Blu-ray.
- The source frames it for compatible Windows and Mac computers; compatibility with a particular device is not established.
- Amazon's offer availability and fulfillment details are not confirmed by the supplied source.
