PCMag evaluated the Tenda BE12 Pro ($159.99 list), rating it as an accessible entry point for Wi-Fi 7 home networking. In benchmark testing, the reviewer noted solid 2.4GHz and 5GHz throughput, simple app onboarding, and dual 2.5Gbps ports. However, cost-cutting measures mean the router omits a 6GHz band, 320MHz channels, USB connectivity, and advanced security software. PCMag considers it suitable for budget-conscious buyers seeking entry-level Wi-Fi 7 speeds, though users wanting full tri-band capabilities should look higher upmarket.

## Media review

PCMag rated the router 3.5, calling it a relatively affordable Wi-Fi 7 option with easy setup and competitive throughput, while noting missing 6GHz support, USB ports, and network security software.
