SoundGuys tested the 2026 Bose Sport Open Earbuds ($199 MSRP) and concluded that while the open-cuff design keeps outdoor runners and cyclists aware of their surroundings, audio performance falls short of justifying the premium price tag. Lab testing confirmed over 8 hours of battery life and a durable IP54 build, but revealed weak low-end output, wind sensitivity during calls, and clunky volume controls. The reviewer recommends exploring sub-$80 cuff alternatives or waiting for a sale.

## Media review

The SoundGuys review says the earbuds meet their goal of keeping users aware of their surroundings while exercising, but argues that their $199 price is difficult to justify compared with less expensive cuff-style alternatives.
