The Gadgeteer reports that the black Soundpeats Air5 Pro+ wireless earbuds are listed at $87.70 before tax on Amazon US, sold by SoundPEATS Audio and shipped by Amazon.com, down $42.29 from the brand's $129.99 regular US price. The earbuds feature hybrid xMEMS and 10mm dynamic drivers, customizable 10-band EQ and touch controls via the PeatsAudio app, and LDAC and aptX Lossless support on compatible hardware. A prior Gadgeteer review noted comfortable fit and effective ANC, alongside a two-handed charging case and a key tradeoff: LDAC and two-device connection mode cannot be used together. Shipping charges, stock, and deal expiration are unknown.

## AI Recommendation Reasons

Worth considering if you want earbuds with app-based sound and control customization: the PeatsAudio app offers a 10-band equalizer, preset profiles, and adjustable touch controls. The article reports a price of $87.70, but the codec options have a connection tradeoff and the source-device compatibility matters.

Best suited for: Listeners who want to adjust EQ and touch controls, and who can choose between LDAC and two-device connection mode based on their listening setup.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- The app offers a 10-band equalizer, presets, and adjustable touch controls, allowing buyers to tailor sound and tap behavior.
- Each earbud has an xMEMS driver alongside a 10mm dynamic driver, according to the article.
- The article reports about six hours of playback per charge and up to 30 hours including the case under the brand’s stated test conditions.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The article reports $87.70 against the brand’s stated $129.99 regular US price, a source-reported comparison that does not establish the usual market price. The article’s stated $42.29 saving is inconsistent with those displayed prices: $129.99 minus $87.70 is $42.29, so the dollar amount matches, but the stated roughly 33% is not exact (about 32.5%).

### Consider before buying

- LDAC and two-device connection mode cannot be enabled together, according to Soundpeats’ product FAQ.
- LDAC and aptX Lossless availability depends on the source device and settings; the article advises checking the exact phone’s specifications.
- The article reports that its reviewer found the case awkward to open and the ANC less powerful than the AirPods Pro he compared it with.
- Battery figures are brand estimates under stated AAC, 40% volume, normal-mode conditions; actual playback varies by codec, mode, volume, and environment.
