TechRadar reviewer Alastair Jennings tested the MSI Pro Max Edge AI+ mini PC (reported starting price of $5,499 from MSI), which pairs an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and Radeon 8060S integrated graphics with 128GB of soldered unified memory and a 2TB SSD. In the author's testing, the compact workstation handled batch Sony RAW photo processing, 4K Canon C-Log video editing in Premiere Pro, and offline local AI workloads such as coding and sorting over 2,600 images. The reviewer recommends it for professionals needing private, long-running offline AI tasks, while noting drawbacks including the high price, non-upgradable RAM, lack of OCuLink, only 2.5Gb Ethernet, and lengthy local AI setup.
