In a preliminary hands-on for Tom’s Guide, the reviewer highlights the $179 Fitbit Edge as a notable successor to the Charge 6. The fitness tracker introduces safety and health tools borrowed from the Pixel Watch 5, a larger 1.34-inch AMOLED screen, and a physical clickable side button. It may suit shoppers seeking advanced wellness tracking in a compact, lightweight wearable without paying smartwatch prices. Note that certain features, like the AI Health Coach, require a Google Health Premium subscription after an initial three-month trial.

## User experience

After just over 24 hours of wear, Tom's Guide author Dan Bracaglia highlights the Edge's health features, comfort, larger display, and physical button, while reserving rigorous testing and competitor comparisons for a later review.
