DealNews reports that Amazon has the X-Sense Smart Mailbox Alarm listed for $14.98, marked down from its $19.99 list price. ## AI Recommendation Reasons

Worth considering if you want a phone alert when mail arrives and already have the required SBS50 base station. The source reports a $14.98 price and free shipping for Prime members, but the base station is sold separately.

Best suited for: Buyers seeking phone alerts for curbside, wall-mount, slot, or cluster mailboxes who have, or plan to obtain separately, an SBS50 base station.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- Sends phone alerts when mail arrives, which may help you notice deliveries without checking the mailbox.
- The source says the battery is rated for up to four years based on five daily triggers, potentially reducing battery-change frequency under that stated usage.
- The source reports an IP65 rating and an operating range of 14°F to 140°F for outdoor use.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The source reports $14.98, down from a $19.99 reference price, and says this matches its reported offer; it supplies no dated price history to substantiate that claim. Free shipping is reported for Prime members only. The separately sold SBS50 base station is an additional requirement, so total system cost cannot be determined from the supplied information.

### Consider before buying

- Requires an SBS50 base station, sold separately.
- Free shipping is reported for Prime members; shipping terms for nonmembers are not provided.
- The source's reported offer statement is not supported by price-history observations in the supplied text.
