PCMag reviewed the Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard (KB746, $59.99), praising its supercapacitor power cell that charges rapidly and avoids standard battery degradation alongside 128-bit AES encrypted wireless pairing. In hands-on testing, the reviewer noted near-silent, comfortable scissor switches suitable for shared office desks and long document writing. However, the keyboard lacks key backlighting entirely and restricts customization software to Windows systems. PCMag concludes it is best suited for corporate deployments and security-minded professionals rather than enthusiasts or evening typists.

## Media review

The reviewer rated the Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard 4.0, calling it comfortable and near-silent with useful supercapacitor charging and an encrypted receiver, while noting the lack of backlighting and Windows-only software.
