9to5Toys reports that Amazon has discounted the Samsung 256GB P9 Express microSD card to $59.99 with free shipping, down from its recent typical price of roughly $80. The high-speed card supports read speeds up to 800MB/s, offers backward compatibility with UHS-I and UHS-II hardware, and includes a three-year limited warranty. While it briefly sold near $40 earlier in the year, this discount offers solid savings for portable gaming storage. Additional taxes may apply at checkout.

## AI Recommendation Reasons

Worth considering if you need compatible-device storage for games or large file transfers: the source reports a 256GB capacity and sequential read speeds up to 800MB/s. The source reports a $59.99 shipped Amazon offer, but does not establish that it is currently available.

Best suited for: Switch 2 owners seeking additional storage, or buyers needing a microSD card for compatible cameras and handhelds, as described by the source.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- The 256GB capacity can provide additional room for games and downloadable content, according to the source.
- The source reports sequential read speeds up to 800MB/s, which may suit buyers transferring large files or storing games.
- The source says the card works with UHS-I and UHS-II hardware, offering compatibility across devices that support those standards.
- A three-year limited warranty is reported by the source.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The source reports $59.99 shipped and says the card had more recently been fetching around $80, while also reporting a brief drop to around $40 in June. The $80 figure is a source-reported observed selling price, not proof of a typical price; the source's claimed 25% discount and $20 savings are approximate relative to around $80. The price cannot be treated as current or merchant-verified from the supplied information.

### Consider before buying

- The source reports the offer as shipped from Amazon, but the supplied material does not confirm current availability.
- The source says the card also comes in 512GB, but this offer is for the 256GB variant.
