## AI Recommendation Reasons

Worth considering if you want a basic bathroom scale with a backlit display and readings in either pounds or kilograms. The source reports a $17 price and free shipping for Prime members, but the author also says this scale consistently reads lower than another scale in their home.

Best suited for: Buyers seeking a bathroom scale with a backlit display, pound/kilogram switching, and a stated 400-pound capacity.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- The display is backlit, which the source author says they like and may make readings easier to see.
- It switches between pounds and kilograms, offering two unit options.
- The source lists a 400-pound capacity and 0.2-pound accuracy.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The source reports $17 and describes $19.88 as the regular price; that is a retailer reference, not evidence of typical market pricing. The headline says free shipping with Prime, so the shipping benefit depends on membership. The source does not establish the current merchant checkout price.

### Consider before buying

- The source author reports that this scale always shows a lower weight than their other scale.
- Free shipping is stated for Prime members; shipping terms for nonmembers are not provided.
