The source reports a price of $28.79, down from a regular price of $35.99, with free shipping; verify the offer and installation fit before purchasing. Best suited for: Households seeking a retractable gate for an opening up to 55 inches wide. ### Why It’s Worth Buying - The source says it stands 34 inches tall and fits openings up to 55 inches wide, which may suit buyers measuring for a specific doorway or passage. - It retracts into a compact housing when not in use, so it does not leave a bottom bar across the opening. - The source describes one-hand operation with a two-step lock, which may be useful when opening or closing the gate while carrying something. ### Why the Price Makes Sense The source reports $28.79, compared with a $35.99 regular price, and says shipping is free. That reference price is not proof of the product's typical selling price, so the available information does not establish broader value or price history. ### Consider before buying - Check the opening width and baseboard or trim before buying; the source says the gate fits up to 55 inches and includes an adjustable baseboard bracket. - The source describes the mesh as meeting ASTM and EN safety standards, but provides no further documentation or independent verification. ## Evidence and sources Source report only.
