HP EliteBook X G2i 14-Inch Business Laptop Review: Ultralight Design Meets Strong Productivity Performance
In a two-week hands-on evaluation, TechRadar reviewer Alastair Jennings rates the 14-inch HP EliteBook X G2i at 4 out of 5 stars, recommending it for frequent business travelers who need strong productivity and creative performance in a sub-kilogram chassis. Equipped with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H CPU and Arc B390 graphics, the tested configuration reportedly handled Microsoft Office, Adobe creative apps, and short 4K video edits smoothly, while also offering a standout keyboard, a bright 2880 x 1800 120Hz anti-reflective display, Thunderbolt 4, and full-size HDMI. Reported drawbacks include a high US retail price of around $3,599, slight magnesium-alloy lid flex, non-upgradable 32GB RAM, and a 1TB internal SSD with roughly 3,500MB/s read/write speeds.
The reviewer considers the EliteBook X G2i a strong travel-oriented business laptop, citing its low weight, performance across productivity and creative work, and keyboard. The review also flags its premium price, fixed 32GB RAM, limited 1TB storage, and some casing flex.
