The reviewer praised the responsive system performance, fast UFS 4.0 storage, bright 120Hz AMOLED display, and the unique convenience of remote camera viewing. However, the author noted major trade-offs, including an unwieldy 28mm thickness, finicky magnetic latching, video resolution capped at 2.7K, and a limited ~40-minute camera runtime that drains the phone when docked. At an expected $999 retail price, the reviewer found it practical for niche remote-monitoring tasks but expensive compared to separate devices. ## Media review TechRadar's Mark Pickavance describes the Xsnap 7 Pro as a distinctive, powerful rugged phone whose detachable camera may suit specific remote-viewing needs, while finding that the camera compromises pocketability and has notable limitations.
