Tom's Guide Review: Ray-Ban Meta Audio Glasses Trade Cameras for Everyday Privacy
In a 72-hour hands-on review, Tom's Guide evaluated the camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio-Only Burbank smart glasses, noted at $349. The author highlighted that dropping the camera eliminated privacy concerns and social friction in public spaces, while preserving open-ear audio, phone calls, navigation, and hands-free Meta AI access. However, omitting cameras removes visual AI features like identifying signs, and the glasses still require a paired phone. Tom's Guide concluded that while convenient for hands-free tasks, they are not an essential purchase for users who already carry good sunglasses and earbuds.
