## AI Recommendation Reasons

The 40mm Starlight Apple Watch SE 3 is worth considering if you want an entry-level current-generation Apple Watch without paying the $249 source-reported regular price. At a source-reported $199 (or $199.99 shipped per the article body) at Amazon, this offer lowers the upfront cost for buyers who are satisfied with the standard non-cellular 40mm configuration in the Starlight finish.

Best suited for: Shoppers looking for the most affordable current-generation Apple Watch in a 40mm Starlight standard (non-cellular) configuration.

### Why It’s Worth Buying

- Drops the entry cost for a current-generation Apple Watch SE 3 by $50 compared to the source-reported $249 regular price.
- Includes source-reported shipping at Amazon, helping avoid extra delivery fees at checkout.
- Includes the new band options noted for the latest SE 3 models.

### Why the Price Makes Sense

The source reports a price of $199 in the deal list (and $199.99 shipped in the article text) at Amazon for the 40mm Starlight Apple Watch SE 3, compared against a source-reported regular price of $249. While this represents a $50 discount off the reference price and is described by the source as matching or within $1 of its Prime Day price, a reference price does not prove typical selling price. Limited Savlume records contain only a single source-reported observation of $199.00 on October 11, 2026, which cannot establish a broader price trend. Because this offer is unverified, availability and final checkout pricing may have changed since publication.

### Consider before buying

- Lowest $199/$199.99 pricing applies specifically to the 40mm Starlight standard configuration; the 40mm Midnight ($219), 44mm models ($229–$249), and GPS + Cellular model ($249) cost more.
- The standard $199 configuration does not include cellular connectivity; upgrading to the 40mm GPS + Cellular model raises the source-reported price to $249.
- The source text lists both $199 and $199.99 for the starting price, and the offer's current price, stock, and shipping terms at Amazon have not been independently verified.
- The source article does not detail hardware specifications, battery life, or warranty and return terms.
